Dell Inc. One of World’s Most Ethical Companies for 2018

Dell Inc. recently has been declared by the Ethisphere Institute, “a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices” since 2007, one of the 2018 World’s Most Ethical Companies. This is Dell Inc’s fifth consecutive year for the award. This year, there were only three selected honorees for the technology category, Dell, LinkedIn and Microsoft.

Overall, 135 honorees were rewarded, from 23 countries and 57 industries. The predominant qualifications for the honor include

“record levels of involvement with their stakeholders and their communities around the world. Measuring and improving culture, leading authentically and committing to transparency, diversity and inclusion were all priorities for honorees.”

Dell’s success is possible through the culture of integrating ethics and compliance into its company’s daily decision-making. As as a result, programs have been developed which operate under the oversight of the Dell Global Risk and Compliance Council (GRCC).

The council top-level leadership support and appropriate resources are accessible for Dell’s risk and compliance programs and that ethical decision-making is guides strategic decision-making at Dell.

As Michael McLaughlin, chief ethics and compliance officer, at Dell stated, “this honor recognized Dell team members around the world who try each and every day to do the right thing in the service of our customers.”
