Described as a free update, Microsoft’s Windows 10 Creators Update will be available to customers April 11. The update is designed “to spark and unleash creativity, bringing 3D and mixed reality to everyone and enabling every gamer to be a broadcaster.” Advances in Microsoft Edge include extra security capabilities and privacy tools and more.
Considering the fact that the 3D industry will grow by over 62% by the year 2020, The Creator’s Update introduces a new Paint 3D app where you can create 3D objects from scratch or use Remix3D.com, which offers “pre-made 3D art in a growing online library for your use or you can share your own creation with this creative community.”
Changes in the Xbox realm include Xbox Live, where players are brought together across Xbox console and PC and Xbox Play Anywhere, where a game is bought once and van be played on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Another addition is Beam, a feature with the abililty to “chat, interact and participate with streamers and community in entirely new ways.”
Besides being safer and faster than Chrome, with better battery life, Microsoft Edge has improved tab management, has the ability to read e-books across Windows 10 devices and can play Netflix movies and TV shows in 4K Ultra HD resolution.
With the night light feature, blue light is limited on your screen. Using this technique helps you eventually sleep better by powering down your brain for a restful night’s sleep. Mini view allows you to multitask by having a small window available, for example, to carry on a Skype conversation as you work or use other programs. Windows Hello is used with paired smartphones, fitness bands or any device that’s paired to your PC or tablet. The feature determines when you “step away from your PC or tablet, automatically locking it behind you for an extra measure of security and privacy.
Because of the increasing prevalence of malware and ransomware, Microsoft Windows 10 includes the “most robust security protection” particularly when visiting a website, sending an email or storing files in the cloud.
