Build It, a new Day 1 Editions Amazon program that gives you input in what products Amazon builds:
“We’ll periodically present you with some of our favorite concepts, and you tell us which ones you want to see built by pre-ordering them. If a concept reaches its pre-order goal in 30 days, we’ll begin to build it—and supporters like you will be among the first to get their hands on it”
Build It’s goal is customer satisfaction, which has always been at the core of everything Amazon does:
“We obsess over how our devices can add value to your life—whether that’s helping you stay connected with friends and family, keeping you entertained and organized, or making your day a little easier.”
The current devices up for consideration in the program are a smart sticky note printer, a smart nutrition scale, and a smart cuckoo clock, which all work with Alexa: Amazon will build at least one product based on pre-orders; and build them all if they each hit their pre-order goals.
