Dell's XPS 13 Laptop, "the smallest 13.3-inch laptop on the planet"

Declared as “the smallest 13.3-inch laptop on the planet”, the Dell XPS 13 laptop sports a screen space maximizing InfinityEdge display (a 13.3-inch display in an 11-inch frame), weighs 2.7 pounds, measures a super slim 9-15 mm and has a thin bezel only 5.2 mm. The XPS 13 is available in two colors, Silver and Rose Gold. Super thin and lightweight are only a fraction of its qualities.

The XPS 13 features a state-of-the-art, “stunning” display with an optional UltraSharp QHD+ resolution (3200×1800) with 5.7 million pixels (276 ppi), an easy to share IGZO IPS panel, 400 nit brightness with an exceptional view even outside, a color gamut of 72% and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and an optional touch display is also available.

The XPS performance aspects are described as “fully loaded” with “next gen Intel® Core processors and higher performing graphics offer speed and reliability” and the latest solid state drives with faster PCIe options up to 512GB* and 16GB* of memory. The battery life is the longest of any laptop in its class with “the longest battery life of any 13-inch* with up to 22 hours* of continual use on a FHD model” when using applications like Word or Excel.

When streaming movies or browsing the web, the battery life is 13 hours. Advanced charging and connecting to multiple devices is possible through the XPS’s Thunderbolt™ 3 multi-use Type-C port with other data transfers at 40Gbps, 8 times that of a USB 3.0*.

Dell docking solutions include advanced single-cable connections for power, Ethernet, audio and video. The strongest and most reliable Wi-Fi connection is available on the XPS: It is “designed specifically to make your online videos, voice and games play faster and smoother.”

Among the usability features are pinch, zoom and click with precision, which prevent jumping and floating cursors and unintentional clicks. A standard backlit keyboard allows laptop usage in low-light or no-light rooms. Microsoft Hello is also available with a password-free sign-in.

The XPS 13 construction is top notch: “Cut with precision from a single block of aluminum for a sturdy, durable chassis in a sleek design,” and a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touch display option. The palm rest is made from carbon fiber and is lighter and cooler than aluminum.

In the environmental area, the XPS 13 is ENERGY STAR certified, EPEAT Gold registered* and BFR/PVC-free* and 90% of the laptop’s parts can be easily recycled or reused. For more information, visit Dell XPS 13 Laptop .
