Apple Intelligence is Apple’s latest venture into AI centered computing. Through Apple silicon, Apple Intelligence, the personal intelligence system for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, can accomplish tasks such as understanding and creating language and images, taking action across apps, and drawing from personal context to simplify and accelerate everyday tasks.
To further examine Apple Intelligence’s new features let’s start off with Writing Tools which is built into iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. With Writing Tools users can rewrite, proofread, and summarize text when they write for Mail, Notes, Pages, and third-party apps.
Apple Intelligence rewrite creates different versions of what users have written for differing needs. Proofread corrects grammar, word choice, sentence structure and also permits editing. Summarize condenses text in the form of a digestible paragraph, bulleted key points, a table, or a list.
Similar features are integrated in Mail including Priority Messages, email summaries and Smart Reply. Notifications have been enhanced with Priority Notifications, notification summaries and Reduce Interruptions. Notes and Phone apps allows users to record, transcribe, and summarize audio.

Apple Intelligence advances emoji’s to a new level. Create an original Genmoji simply by typing a description, or inputting photos of family or friends.

With Private Cloud Compute, Apple Intelligence can flex and scale its computational capacity and draw on larger, server-based models for more complex requests. These models run on servers powered by Apple silicon, providing a foundation that allows Apple to ensure that data is never retained or exposed.
Apple Intelligence Siri with ChatGPT, Image/Apple
ChatGPT is integrated into Apple platforms iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia allowing users to access its expertise — as well as its image- and document-understanding capabilities. ChatGPT is available to use with Siri and Writing Tools. Privacy is paramount with users IP addresses being obscured, and OpenAI not storing requests.
