CB Insights recently announced “the 100 most promising private artificial intelligence companies in the world.” Known as AI 100, the December 2017 San Franscisco event rewarding “teams and technologies that are successfully using AI to solve big challenges,” was held at the A-ha! conference hosted on December 12 and 13.
The distinction most likely means that the awarded companies have the possibility of more secured success because of this outstanding recognition. For instance, last year, five companies were acquired and fifty-five of the companies raised 2 billion.
The 2018 AI 100 winners were selected from among two thousand companies using artificial intelligence in industries such as cybersecurity and robotics. As CB Insights CEO and co-founder, Anand Sanwal recently stated:
“I’m happy that CB Insights is able to shine a light on the founders and companies that will revolutionize these industries and look forward to seeing what they do in 2018 and beyond.”
