Google’s Rich Results Test, Screen Capture/Google

Google’s Rich Results Test tests an entered website’s defined structured data:

“Structured data is a standardized format for providing information about a page and classifying the page content; for example, on a recipe page, what are the ingredients, the cooking time and temperature, the calories, and so on.” The websites search results are then displayed as rich results: “Rich results can include carousels, images, or other non-textual elements.” 

The Rich Results Test can be run by submitting a full URL of the web page or arbitrary code snippet. Additionally, a user agent, a smartphone or a desktop computer can be chosen to test the page. The final test results show rich results types and errors, if found. The most common errors are page can’t be reached, page has unloadable resources and syntax errors in items of unknown type. Besides these general errors categories, more detailed error information is given.

You can also save test history and share test results. Both features are available for 90 days.
