Acer recently unveiled two new laptop models providing more power to accomplish more, the new Acer Chromebook Plus 515 and Acer Chromebook Plus 514. The laptops reflect Google’s Chromebook Plus initiative which focuses on Chromebook performance, better hardware designs, upgraded displays and cameras, and new productivity, creativity, and multimedia capabilities.
Acers two new laptops emphasize customers productivity and creativity. Equipped with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express, customers can edit photos and create standout graphics with ease. Customers can also get Photoshop on the web and Adobe Express Premium plan free of charge for three months.
Another significant creative feature is the AI-powered Magic Eraser included in the Google Photos app. It easily removes unwanted elements. The movie creation tools provide advanced video edits. Acer Chromebook Plus users File Sync, ensuring Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides are always accessible via Chromebook Plus File Manager.
Both laptop models have 8 GB to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, responsive SSD local storage options of up to 256 GB for the 14-inch Acer Chromebook Plus and up to 512 GB for the 15-inch version, fast and reliable Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, 1080p webcams with Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) and Blue Glass lens, plus AI-powered tools, a physical webcam shutter for privacy, mic mute, camera turn off with one click, dual upward-firing speakers with DTS Audio, an array of ports for charging, data transfer and display extension including dual USB Type-C ports and HDMI and are U.S. MIL-STD 810H compliant.
The Acer Chromebook Plus 515, built for ChromeOS, is powered by 13th Gen and 12th Gen Intel Core processors (up to a Core i7 model) for real-world computing and performance to solve challenging tasks and multi-task. The laptop includes a spacious 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 resolution) display with IPS technology and wide viewing angles, a vibrant touch or non-touch display, anti-glare display and 10-hour battery life.
The Acer Chromebook Plus 514’s large 14-inch WUXGA display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and (1920 x 1200 resolution), four high-performance “Zen 2” CPU cores with AMD RDNA 2 integrated graphics, the AMD Ryzen 5 7520 C-Series processor, an anti-glare coating, IPS technology touch or non-touch screen display option and long 12-hour battery life.
The new Acer Chromebook Plus 515 and Acer Chromebook Plus 514 are eco-friendly and support the company’s Earthion mission and EPEAT registrations with recycled materials, sustainable packaging, and Energy Star certification.
