One week since its launch, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 received the highest preorders ever for the Z Fold lineup. Both the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 have had an uptick in consumer demand. Six years ago, the foldable smartphone was developed by Samsung and is now in its seventh generation. The Galaxy Z series was recently unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked in July.
Consumer demand increased more than last year in historical proportions:
Both Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 saw more than a 25% increase in total preorders compared to the previous generation. That includes more Galaxy Z Fold7 pre-orders than any previous Z Fold device in US history. As part of that, carrier partners saw nearly a 60% pre-order jump cumulatively for both devices compared to last year’s models.

Since July 25, demand for Galaxy Z Fold7 skyrocketed to 50%. Both Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 orders surpassed the previous generation by 25% confirming the record-breaking numbers.
Z series foldables color trends have changed since previous generations. For example black was preferred choice of Z Fold users. 50% Z Fold7 pre-orders are the color, Blue Shadow. 25% of Z Flip7 pre-orders consist of Coralred color orders.
