The Waltham Watch Company, founded in 1850 in Roxbury, Massachusetts was initiated by David Davis, Edward Howard, and Aaron Dennison. The Waltham Watch Company, also known as the American Waltham Watch Co. and the American Watch Co., produced over 40 million watches, clocks, compasses, speedometers, time delay fuses, and instruments in the United States of America between the years 1850 and 1957. Previously, watches made in America before 1850 came from Switzerland or England.
