Another useful resource for educators is Microsoft Education, whose mission is “empowering every student on the planet to achieve more.” The website offers a blog, school stories and Microsoft Educator Center to help educators, parents and technology professionals encourage students to become more tech savy.
Microsoft Azure for Students is another free tool with an annual renewal subscription to top cloud services, plus access to dozens of other Azure and artificial intelligence (AI) tools and training and access to Visual Studio Code.
Microsoft also offers educators and students the full-featured and free Office 365, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and now Microsoft Teams
Educators can increase student interest in STEM by offing “customized training opportunities to unique Minecraft editions to access to special guest speakers.”
The annual Imagine cup competition engages student in universities and colleges to formulate ideas that sometimes turn into full-fledged products. Students learn the art of teamwork and “learn how to work together, be resourceful, meet deadlines and a select few receive funding to help take their ideas to the next level.”
Microsoft Student Partner is a program that encourages students to obtain experiences, exclusive resources and develop real-world technical and career skills.
