Google Introduces Bard Conversational AI Service

Powered by Language Model for Dialogue Applications, aka LaMDA, Bard is an experimental conversational AI service recently introduced to the public by Google. Although the AI service underpinnings are not entirely new. Two years ago, Google revealed next-generation language and conversation capabilities powered by Language Model for Dialogue Applications (LaMDA).

Bard relays knowledge and information through the conversational model:

Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses.

Bard will be released as a scaled back version equipped with a lightweight model version of LaMDA. Bard’s will result in less power consumption, scalability to more users, and therefore more feedback. Bard, will in turn will combine external feedback with internal testing quality assurance, safety and real-world information predictability.

Bard is similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT conversational AI service.
