Spectacles Expand Your World

Combining a camera and sunglasses, Spectacles revolutionizes capturing photos and videos. Spectacles is described as being inspired by the human eye- "images from both cameras combine to build out a geometric map of the world around you." Spectacles comes in two models, Spectacles 3 and 2.

Spectacles 3

Spectacles 3 is the more higher end model priced at $380. Spectacles 3 includes two HD cameras enabling it to capture 3D photos and videos at 60 fps. Another plus of the Spectacles 3 is four built-in microphones which record high-fidelity audio. A more prominant feature is built-in GPS and GLONASS. Unlike Spectacles 2, Spectacles 3 is not water resistant.

Spectacles 3 can capture and sync up to 70 videos per full charge. It takes about 75 minutes for Spectacles 3 to recharge fully with the USB-C Charging Cable. The glasses have 4GB flash storage which stores up to 100 3D videos or 1,200 3D photos.

Spectacles 3 has iOS Compatibility iPhone 7 or above, running iOS 11 or above and select Android devices running Android 6 or above. Spectacles phone compatibility guide is available for further evaluation. 

Spectacles 3 also has the ability to wirelessly transport your photos and videos to your phone and edit and change them using Snapchat's new suite of 3D Effects. You can also share your works via Snapchat, YouTube, VR, photo printouts or some other feasible place.

Spectacles 2

Spectacles 2, the original Spectacles priced $150-$200, also captures HD photo and videos and is water resistant. To run Spectacles 2 you need the latest version of Snapchat installed on an iPhone 5 or later running iOS 10 or above, or most Android devices running Android 4.4 or above, with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi Direct. Spectacles 2 can be recharged with the charging case, which stores up to four charges at a time, and a charging cable. Spectacles 2 can even come with your prescriptions lenses via Lensabl.

Spectacles 2 and 3 each have there own features to meet your particular requirements. For example, the VR enthusiast, might find Spectacles 3 a more the logical choice. Whereas Spectacles 2, which is water resistant is more feasible for swimmers and outdoor photographers.
