Google recently entered into an agreement to acquire Velostrata, an Israel-based leader in enterprise cloud migration technology. Velostrata specializes in cloud migration from on-premises allowing organizations to move at their own pace.
By adopting cloud technology, organizations can leverage speed, scalability, and access to technologies such as machine learning and data analytics.
The deal emphasizes the ease at which virtual machine-based workloads such as large databases, enterprise applications, DevOps, and large batch processing can be quickly migrated to and from the cloud.
Also, in a few clicks, “customers can control and automate where their data lives at all times—either on-premises or in the cloud.” Another bonus of the agreement is the availability of a broad portfolio of migration tools for businesses and organizations to easily facilitate cloud migration.
