Cisco Acquires AppDynamics

Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) recently announced its completed acquisition of AppDynamics, which leads in application and business monitoring, for $3.7 billion in cash. The combination "will deliver visibility across the network, data center, security and applications and drive digital transformation that improves customer experiences."
The need for companies understanding the complexities that have ironically arisen from a simpler digital experience for the customer: "The rise of connected devices, distributed architectures, and multi-clouds have increased the complexity of application environments.
