A Look at Fortune's World’s Most Admired Tech Companies

Fortune recently released the "World’s Most Admired Companies," Fortune’s annual ranking of corporate reputation, based on a survey of almost 3,800 executives, directors, and analysts." The Key Attributes of Reputation indicating rank include Innovation, People Management, Use of Corporate Assets, Social Responsibility, Quality of Management, Financial Soundness, Long-Term Investment Value, Quality of Products/Services and Global Competitiveness.
The process for selecting the most outstanding companies (all categories, not just tech) for World’s Most Admired Companies is basically deductive as Fortune magazine states: "We began with a universe of about 1,500 candidates: the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue, along with non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database that have revenues of $10 billion or more. We then winnowed the assortment to the highest-revenue companies in each industry, a total of 680 in 30 countries. The top-rated companies were picked from that pool of 680; the executives who voted work at the companies in that group."
Other pertinent info statistics for each company mentioned in the World’s Most Admired Companies include Sector, Industry, Current All-Star Rank, Previous All-Star Rank, Industry Rank, Previous Industry Rank, Overall Score, Company Website and Company Note.
Among the selected computers and communication category companies listed, at number one ranking is Apple. Apple has maintained this ranking for 13 years straight. In the top 50 tech companies selected then, Apple ranked #1, Amazon #2, Microsoft #3, Alphabet #7, Salesforce #10, Accenture #34, IBM #35 and Adobe #47.
