by Tech Mainstream Staff

July 18, 2018

Tested with real web browsers, Pingdom website speed test evaluates website speed by analyzing an entered url to "test the load time of that page, analyze it and find bottlenecks. Built for experts and novices alike and recognizes that slow websites deter customers and users, Pingdom helps "identify what about a web page is fast, slow, too big, what best practices you’re not following, and so on."

After analyzing a given url, the Pingdom website speed test will examine all parts of a web page, give a performance overview, give a performance grade and tips, trace your performance history, test from multiple locations and allow you to share your webpage results. Pingdom uses instances of Google’s Chrome web browser to load and test websites.

Another important Pingdom service is 24/7 website uptime and performance monitoring using 70 global polling locations to test and verify customers’ sites. The results are a "better end-user-experience your customers will thank you." In essence, Pingdom is an "easy-to-use tool to help webmasters and web developers everywhere optimize the performance of their websites."
