Samsung will be the first TV brand to offer Google Photos to Samsung TVs in 2026. Create and personalized results capabilities will be available later in the year. The move will seamlessly bring family memories, from trips and hobbies, to everyday memories to the big screen:
Google Photos makes reliving and sharing special memories easy. With the planned integration, it will seamlessly bring the photos you capture on your phone to Samsung TVs, where they can appear in a larger, cinematic format.
Curated memories on your TV organized by subjects such as people, places, and meaningful moments will be an option available through the proposed technology. More memories will be enhanced and enjoyed by integration with Samsung Vision AI Companion (VAC):
Imagine photos surfacing naturally through Daily+ and Daily Board, ensuring that meaningful memories greet you throughout your day in contextual and convenient moments. The setup should be simple — you can sign in with your Google Account, and your photo memories instantly appear on the big screen.
There are three ways to experience photo memories on Samsung TVs, Memories, Create and Themed Slideshows.
- Memories (to be launched exclusively in early 2026): Shows curated stories based on people, locations, and meaningful moments for the first time on TV, available first and exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months.
- Create with AI (to be launched later in 2026): Introduces themed templates built on Nano Banana, Google DeepMind’s image generation and editing model. Remix transforms the art style of an image, or Photo to Video bringing still moments alive as short videos.
- Personalized Results (planned to launch later in 2026): View related photos as a slideshow based on topics or contents of memories.
The collaboration between Samsung and Google Photos creates a cinematic gallery experience offering remarkable detail for users in the comfort of their own home. Personal photo libraries will be dramatically transformed photo memories into artistic, real-life renditions:
Google Photos is a home for people’s photos and videos, helping them organize and bring their memories to life, said Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President, Google Photos and Google One. We’re excited to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs — helping people enjoy their favorite photos on a larger screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways.
